Event Recap

Manus Fellows — Ying, Louise, Kevin, and Remi — hosted a collaborative work session in San Francisco, drawing over 40 participants from diverse backgrounds, including founders, engineers, designers, marketers, and students. Among them, 35 identified as founders, 19 as engineers, and 6 as marketers (with individuals able to select multiple roles).
Attendees formed teams of 3–5 to conduct market research on specific use cases powered by Manus. Some groups went further, creating MVPs ranging from a functional "wedding planner" website to a music synthesizer platform. Notably, approximately 20% of attendees had prior experience with Manus, though only a few were existing Pro users.
Overall, participants were impressed by Manus' capabilities, with several expressing interest in exploring the Pro version further. While the session centered around market research, many teams successfully built websites during the event and noted the development experience as smooth and intuitive.
The event was energetic and inspiring, though the weekday evening timing proved a bit long, with only about half of attendees staying through the conclusion. For future sessions, we are considering weekend scheduling to better accommodate extended collaboration and networking.
We also identified opportunities for improvements. Specifically, the process for discovering and uploading use cases in the #irl-usecases channel had noticeable friction, which impacted participation. Additionally, the voting flow—requiring everyone to use the same Discord channel to access the form—proved cumbersome. We plan to streamline these elements to enhance future experiences.
In summary, the event was a success, generating enthusiastic feedback and tangible projects built with Manus. We look forward to hosting more focused and user-friendly events moving forward.
